What the reliability data tells us
- Japanese brands dominate the top of the list. Toyota's FJ Cruiser, Fortuner, Corolla, and Land Cruiser all rank in the top tier — the engineering and parts story carries across decades.
- Honda follows closely. The City, Civic, and Accord show high survival past 150k km with stable used prices, which is what the composite score rewards.
- Body-on-frame SUVs and pickups age well in Qatari conditions. Hilux, Patrol, and Land Cruiser are tough enough that age alone doesn't degrade their value.
- European luxury rarely appears at the top. High maintenance cost and tight engineering tolerances mean fewer units make it past the 150k km threshold without major service bills.
- Reliability here is survival, not just brand. The score combines how many cars reach 150k+ km, how well the market still values them at high mileage, and how big the sample is — multiple signals together, not one number alone.
These rankings are generated by machine-learning models trained on publicly available Qatar used-car listings. The order shown may be partially or fully wrong — RaqamQatar does not have the final word on what actually depreciates fastest or what is truly reliable. We track market behaviour, not vehicle quality directly. Sample size, listing biases, regional preferences, and brand-new market entrants all shape the numbers you see here. Treat this as one data point alongside dealer information, real-world reviews, and your own inspection — not as the only factor in your buying decision.
